Which design should I choose? A single dragon scene makes a quick centerpiece quilt; the four-block panels are for sampler quilts, pillows or framing with sashing.

What size quilt does it make? About 36 × 42 in as is. Add borders from your stash for a bigger crib quilt.

Prewash before cutting, especially if you’re mixing it with other fabrics. Expect about 2–3% shrinkage in length and 4–5% in width.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. No bleach.

Tumble dry low or line dry.

Iron on the cotton setting, on the reverse side.

For a finished quilt, add a color catcher to the first wash.
